Adam "Rick" Rivera
Attorney
Biography
Rick Rivera graduated from CU Law in 2023 and began his legal career in Denver, where he focused on employment law before joining the firm in the spring of 2026. While in law school, he had the unique opportunity to argue before the Tenth Circuit in a case involving failure to accommodate under the ADA, an experience that continues to shape his approach to advocacy today.
Before pursuing a legal career, he spent several years working in the restaurant industry in Austin, Durango, and Fort Collins. That experience gave him a firsthand understanding of how the law impacts both businesses and employees in real, day-to-day situations, and it continues to inform his practical, client-focused perspective.
After building a strong foundation in Denver, he chose to join the firm to focus his practice more locally and to work more closely with clients in the community he calls home. He is also actively involved in the local community, including participation in Leadership Fort Collins and Homeward Alliance, and he currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Poudre Library District.
Rick looks forward to bringing both his real-world experience and legal training to help clients navigate their challenges and find effective solutions. Outside of work, he enjoys movies, reading, and taking advantage of everything Colorado has to offer with his family.
