A car accident that happens due to a person’s negligence can have a lasting impact on the victims. In many cases, families and friends travel together, so injuries and deaths can be incredibly traumatizing to those in the collision. While there aren’t many ways to reduce the time it takes to heal or to grieve following an accident, civil litigation has been created to help victims seek compensation that can help them financially during a traumatic time.

This accident in Colorado nearly lead to several deaths, but fortunately, the family that was victimized is recovering in a local hospital. The accident took place at around 3:00 p.m., on April 3. According to a news report from April 5, a truck had been driving east on Dublin Boulevard when the driver didn’t stop at a red light. The truck continued through the intersection of Dublin and Tutt Boulevard, but it collided with a Ford vehicle that was making a westbound turn at the same time.

When the collision took place, several people were injured. One person, a 6-year-old child, was thrown from the Ford vehicle and suffered serious injuries. Three other people in the vehicle were also hurt, and all were reportedly in serious condition when they were hospitalized. Police did report that all four are expected to survive the incident.

The driver who caused the accident has been charged by police. He or she is now facing a citation for a red-light violation as well as one for careless driving causing injury. There has not been any word on if the family intends to seek a civil lawsuit.
