Estranged couple focuses on daughter during divorce

by | Jan 16, 2013 | Child Custody

Any divorce is difficult, and there are always a lot of things to consider. When there is a child involved, child custody becomes the most important decision the divorcing couple will make. Anyone facing child custody decisions should consider all the options and consider the best interests of the child before making any settlement.

Readers in Larimer County, Colorado, might be interested in a related news release about reality television star Bethenny Frankel. Frankel recently left her husband of two years, according to the report, and the couple must now make a decision about how best to provide for their 2-year-old daughter.

According to a release issued by Frankel a few days before Christmas, she believes that she and her estranged husband will remain amicable and continue to “co-parent” their daughter. A source close to the couple believes that there will be no fighting over the child. The former reality TV star has spoken openly in the past about her struggles with her marriage, but raising the child amicably in the wake of the separation will allegedly not be one of them.

A divorce can lead to a variety of solutions when it comes to child custody, but if parents can agree on the best interests of the child, as in this case, it makes things much easier. However, people facing this kind of decision should still ensure that they are well informed and understand each parent’s rights.
