Kelsey Grammer divorce ends after two-year battle

Getting divorced is seldom a pleasant experience. In fact, many divorces are messy and painful, leaving behind shattered dreams, broken hearts and fractured families. The simplicity or complexity of any divorce is usually determined by whether or not a parting couple can come to an amicable agreement regarding the custody of any minor children from the marriage and the division of marital property and assets.

It is all too often the case that couples find room for argument on these two issues. Our Colorado readers following the bitter, high-asset divorce of "Frasier" star Kelsey Grammer from his "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" wife Camille Grammer may be pleased to learn that the drama has finally ended.

The nearly two-year battle between the pair came to an end this month, with the stars agreeing on the custody arrangements of their two young children and the division of nearly $60 million in marital property. The high-profile couple officially divorced in February 2011, but both parties have since been embroiled in legal battles over these two common issues.

Even after a divorce is finalized, complex asset division disagreements can sometimes cause an ongoing legal battle to ensue. It can be difficult to agree on anything when emotions run high, especially when it comes to children and money. Both parties being fully informed during this trying time is essential.
