Ms. Lonowski is a 1977 graduate of Shenandoah High School, Shenandoah, Iowa .  During her high school years, she was active in vocal music and band, and graduated third in her class with a 4.0 average.  Ms. Lonowski graduated from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in 1981. She had double majors in English and news editorial journalism with a minor in history.  She was a duel matriculant from the College of Arts and Science, and the College of Education and graduated with a Bachelor Arts and Bachelor of Science. 

Ms. Lonowski earned her Juris Doctorate degree in 1985 from the University of Denver College of Law in Denver, Colorado .  While in law school, Ms. Lonowski was a member of the Law Review and is a published author in the field of family law.

While in law school, Ms. Lonowski worked for the prestigious insurance defense firm, Downey & Gulley, located in the Cherry Creek area of Denver, Colorado , working on high-end medical malpractice cases, personal injury, and product liability.  In 1985, Ms. Lonowski married her high school sweetheart, Wayne Lonowski, and relocated her law practice to Wick & Trautwein, LLC in downtown Fort Collins , #3 Clock Tower Square , 323 South College Avenue, P.O. Box 2166, Fort Collins, Colorado 80522 . 

Ms. Lonowski has been a licensed attorney in the State of Colorado for over 25 years. Her practice focuses on all areas of family law, including divorce and related issues such as maintenance, child support, contested custody, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and adoption.  In addition, Ms. Lonowski has a very active mediation practice and has been conducting mediations in Northern Colorado since 1996 after completing mediation coursework in Boulder, Colorado . 

Ms. Lonowski has successfully resolved hundreds of cases involving all types of family law issues, always striving toward an equitable settlement, if at all possible, but proceeding to litigation in the event a fair resolution cannot be reached by agreement.

As the current President of the Larimer County Bar Association 2010/2011, and a Larimer County Bar Association executive committee member for many years, Ms. Lonowski believes in giving back to her community.  She works with many non-profit organizations, serves on numerous boards of directors, and volunteers extensively throughout the community.  She and her husband, Wayne Lonowski, have been married for 25 years, and have 3 children, the oldest of whom is a college student and a 2007 Boettcher scholarship recipient.
